OK, I could be wrong but I don't think the auctions are until today/tonight....maybe??.....I'd think that is the case for at least the Heritage sale.

Maybe I'm behind times but what's happening with live internet auction bidding?

Here's Heritage's message;

This Signature Auction is being held in Milwaukee, WI on May 5-8, 2004. Online bidding ends at 10:00PM CT the night before the floor session for this lot. Your secret maximum bid will compete for you during the floor auction, and it is possible that you may be outbid on the floor after internet bidding closes. The applicable buyer's premium for this auction is an amount equal to 15% (minimum $6 per lot) of the successful bid. Sales Tax may be charged for this auction if you reside in the following state(s): TX, CA

27_laughing.gif I got a kick out of their Last Chance Heritage auction, the coins that didn't sell last night and they still want to charge that Buyer's Premium of fifteen percent(15%) to you! 27_laughing.gif

Leo -

If you live in a state like California and purchased less than $1,000, Heritage is legally obligated to add sales tax to the purchase. So if you bought a large cent for $900 (with the juice), you'd be looking at $975 for the coin if you live in Los Angeles.

However, if you like a $100 coin and use this "last chance" option, the total for the two coins is now $1,000, and California sales tax no longer applies.
