PCGS details holders

4 posts in this topic

With details grades now being given to their holders, are NGC going to appoint them more than the 1 point that they get for a Genuine at the moment .

And If you really want your plastic graded at PCGS would you re submit your Genny coins?

it probably depends what the PCGS details slab says

if they say the same as NGCs, what is the difference?

I doubt if they are going to say MS62 details

This is off topic (just a little) but does anyone know, if when you have a coin re-holdered for 5-10 bucks, do you keep your old cert. # or are you issued a new one? Just curious. hm

It's almost beyond comprehension as to why anyone would prefer a coin in a PCGS "genuine" holder over an NGC "details" holder. Why would anyone prefer a double-secret two-digit code over a plain English description of the problem? And I don't buy any "registry set" explanations for a grade worth only one point.

At least they finally decided to add the "details" to their slabs.... of course, that's AFTER so many coins are already in "genuine" holders and will have to re-submitted.... AGAIN.... at a price of course.
