I did bid in your previous auction.

 

My one complaint is that these auctions, like so many others, end on Sunday. Why don't online auctioneers choose a different day, instead of automatically assuming "Sunday = more traffic = better bids"?

We didn't automatically assume that Sunday resulted in more bidders - we did a study prior to launching GreatCollections that showed Sundays being the most desirable day. I know it doesn't work for everyone, which is a shame, but along the same lines, if they ended on Mondays, that wouldn't work for everyone too. It's a tough balance.

 

That being said, as we grow (we currently have 1,600 auctions listed), we plan on spreading out the listings so they end everyday of the week. I think we need to have about 7,000 current listings to be able to do that.

My point wasn't so much that there is some "perfect" day on which to end listings. Rather, if e v e r y b o d y ends their listings on the same day, there is far too much glut for many collectors to deal with.
