A cure for Hole-itis

2 posts in this topic

If you're a well-adjusted, adult, clear-thinking, reasonable, responsible, productive citizen, you will not be bothered by holes in your coin albums.

However.

If you are like me, holes will bother the bejabbers outta you and can lead to drinking, overeating, anti-social behavior and nervous disorders.

If you suffer from this preventable disease, here's what you can do. Take a common variety of whatever size coin you have a hole for and put a small piece of sticky label on it and stick it in the appropriate hole in your album.

WARNING: This therapy is ONLY for those who actually OWN the coin, but for pathological reasons have had it SLABBED (thus rendering it un-albumable)

Those using this procedure for actual LACK of the coin may have serious side effects.

I have a circ buff album with the 18/17d, the T2 s-mint, and the 3 legger each labeled NGC (or ANACS in the case of the net graded overdate)

I'm not concerned about holes just the ugly coins that fill them. What's a coin collector to do?

Some shine, some are toned but the ugly ones... argh!

It's quite embarrassing to have an ugly one surrounded by beautiful ones, a page full of BU coins and smack dab in the middle, that 'fine' coin sticks out like a sore thumb.

Thanks, I've been waiting for a thread like this to get it off my chest, I feel better now.
