4 posts in this topic

I got this new coin and it looks proof.

but when i was looking it up at krause i couldnt find it.

I found other with same design but diff domination and size.

its 27 millimeter in size.

I wonder if anyone familiar with it and might know its mintage and composition.

I would think is plated but really am clueless.

Knowing nothing about these coins it is hard to say. Krause does not list the 25 crown past '95. Doesn't mean the coin wasn't minted though.

They do list the same design as your coin in the 100 crown - KM 237. They do say this coin is gold plated silver so it may be logical to assume your coin is as well.

yes, I saw the 100 crowns but is gigantic (5 oz.) silver plated.

they minted also many 12 karat gold in similar size to my 25 crowns.

I first assumed is plated because it have 2 spots that "toned" and i figured gold wont do that, but then i looked at a friend gold collection and he have some slabed $5 US gold eagle about 150 yrs old with the same kinda spot.

more then that from the price i paid for it im pretty sure is plated, yet I wish to be suprized on this 1 :-)
