*updated* Massapequa Coin Show and newps

Well... I was totally exhausted last night and went to sleep early so I could go to the show early. I woke up exhausted!

I walked into the show and bumped into someone who works at the same company as I. He had a table and was selling error coins. Greg wrote an article for "Mint Error News"... I guess I have to check it out now.

From Greg I picked up a 1984 Quarter (MS63) that was broadstruck and a 1881 (MS61) 3 cent Nickle, here are some pics (bad quality but decent)

I picked up more MS quarters and mint sets but I found myself getting low on cash. I figured I would make one more trip around the floor, see if something catches my eye, if not, I was heading home. So I came across this:

It appears to be unopened, I figured I would take a chance. It is banked wrapped by "Fidelity-Philadelphia Trust Co" The top coin actually has some decent toning but I didn't have the right lighting to bring it out. The question is... Do I open the roll or keep it in the roll forever? hmm...

I had a good time!

Dave,

If it were me, I would have to open that roll and see just what might be in there... 893scratchchin-thumb.gifgrin.gif

Nice coins! I'd also open the roll.

We're former neighors as I lived in Syosset for 25 years, just up the road from Massapequa.

I still have them unopened. I'm kind of skeptical about "un-opened" rolls really being "un-opened". When the dealer said "you may find some cameo's in there", I held back a chuckle... but something drew me to this roll... I need more votes on whether to open it or not smile.gif

Massapequa, cool. I'm in Farmingdale, originally from Floral Park. Next stop, Key Largo smile.gif

I'm inching closer to opening it. Any other votes?

I'd open it tonight but I have to get to work really, really early. If I'm not too tired tomorrow evening, I will have an unvailing tomorrow night.

Okay, I'm coming off a 13 hour day and figured I would open the roll. Granted I don't have the ideal lighting yet, here are some pics of what was in the roll. I figured I might send the end roll one in for grading.. just because I don't have anything toned and I might as well have something graded from this roll!

Here are some pics, sorry if they are too big. Let me know what you think they would grade as I'm not up on grading Franklin's.
