MS66FS pulling MS68FS bids!!!

David,

I think this statement from the description of the coin in the auction just about sums it up.

THIS FULL STEPS EXAMPLE IS A "POP TOP" COIN AND TIED FOR HIGHEST GRADED WITH ONLY 5 OTHERS BY PCGS. IT WOULD MAKE A GREAT ADDITION TO A FULL STEPS NICKEL SET OR REGISTRY SET.

BTW, just as a side note I have dealt with this seller a few times in the past and have never been disappointed.

John, I realize it is a pop-top but still fail to understand the higher then MS67FS price. My own 1986-P is a MS64+FS but this 1987-P is MS66+FS and would compare to the 86 listed (if you could clearly see it from the auction pic). PCGS lists only 4 in 67-FS.

Does this mean if it were slabbed, I could get over $700. for it?
