Gold Eagle Album? Who makes it?

5 posts in this topic

Hello-

This may sound like an odd question, but do you know anybody who makes an album to hold gold eagles? My wife and I want to buy a "gold eagle a year" for our kids, and thought an album would be nice to keep them in. However, I don't think anybody makes Gold Eagle albums! Would it work to buy a Dansco blank page with 33 mm ports? Or would they rattle due to that .3 mm difference?

Thanks!

I think it would look awesome to have a Capitol Plastic holder(possibly black to offset the gold) made up and you could personalize it also, perhaps have your children's names inscribed.

Well, Brent-Krueger has it so you can custom order Dansco pages, and custom order the printing on the cover, so I'd get their names on the cover of the binder. Not such a fan of the capital plastics idea, only because this is a collectible/investment, and probably wouldn't be put on display (that's a lot of gold to display). Do you all think 33 mm ports would work for AGE?

The current Whitman Classic line of albums included GAE for some years, but it appears to have been discontinued. I still see it occasionally among the stock of supply dealers at coin shows.
