What, if anything, should I post about here?

There are at least two guys who occasionally belly-ache to me (and taunt me on this forum) that I should post here, more often.

I wont dare reveal their namesgossip.gif, for fear that they might be run out of town for encouraging me like that. But TRUTH be known, I like and respect both of them, even if one of them is MEAN and EVILdevil.gif.

So, I wont make any promises that I can't keep, but, if anyone has any practical/realistic ideas or suggestions for me, I'm happy to listen.

5) Pinacle's cost code.

And much, much more.

Mark,

I too have been belly aching but silently. It is now time to let it out. We need you to post here too! You appear to be a nice guy, you are well respected and have great insight into coin collecting.

Bring us your knowledge! Let us pick your brain! It's hard to respond on the PCGS board when your part of the fraternal brother hood of banned people.

Thanks,

Dave

I'm glad you popped in today. I was going to post a RIP message about you later tonight. shocked.gif I had already decided to place a skull and crossbones on your icons vial. sorry.gif

Personally, I'm really surprised how much you post over there and how little over here considering how "they" treated you. I'm beginning to worry that I missed a bad NGC story, perhaps about Mark Salzberg clubbing you with a baseball bat in the NGC parking lot or John Maben spiking your coffee with pee. confused.gif

First post could perhaps be about your dealings with the grading companies and their grade guarantee. I remember two stories you told about them, one about each company. devil.gif893scratchchin-thumb.gif

You should post the exact same stuff here that you post across the street. You're a wealth of knowledge and I'm sure anything you contribute here will be of use to many of the forum members.

And if you're not happy posting here or prefer to only post across the street, feel free to do what you think is best. I'm happy to read your posts over there and use an alt-ID to bash you for having a link to your web site in your posts or "pretending" to show two coins and have the members guess which is the better coin, when those coins are for sale. Also, you're a dealer, so that right there is enough to have a few dozen of my alt-IDs go there and bash you for that. ...um never mind, I'm just thinking out loud. ... angel.gif

I know that I put my opinion in the Mark Feld is missing thread and I will stick to it here. That is, post what you like and when you like to do it. It's easy for me to say, but if you start a thread at PCGS you could cut-and-paste the thread into the NGC forum, also. I realize you are busy and that this takes some time, it was just a suggestion. Good to "see" you over here. smile.gif

Mark---I for one, would appreciate any knowledge you possess concerning the grading of FS Jeffs by NGC/PCGS. Who has the more strict grading standards and if possible, (with pics) describe what is and what is not FS according to each.

Before submitting for the first time, this will help me decide what to send and to which TPGC. I have my own standards for FS but some are borderline and do not wish to submit them if I knew for sure they would not make the FS label.

Thanks for any post, Mark.

Tell us Mark, why do you sell Frankies on your website?????

Hi Mark

From what I have seen you have a lot of fun with the business and the hobby.

Maybe a story now and then about some of crazy things you have seen over the years.

I would like to have you discuss Seated Liberty coins and Indian Cents by date, describing the aspects of each year, such as strike or color. Knowing certain years/mints are poorly struck or not often found in red, etc.

Also, show pictures of lower grade vs. higher grades and discuss why a coin is a lower grade or a higher grade, i.e. no luster, poor strike, etc.

Mark,

Please just post a note letting us over here know that the PCGS message boards are back in business.

Mark, either place is fine with me. Good content is good content. wink.gif That's the secret ingredient that makes any board interesting and useful.

Some brief replies to your posts to this thread:

Truth - you ask FAR too much of me. confused-smiley-013.gif

Dave - thanks for keeping your bellyaching to yourself - it was a lot less pressure on me that way. wink.gif

Greg - overall, I think I am treated very well over "there". Thanks for your encouragement, though, even if you used shame tactics...

Tom - thanks, as always for your comments.

David - I am sorry to inform you that I can't be of any help with FS nickels - I think they were just starting to recognize/note them at the time I left NGC and I don't deal in them now. boo.gif

Lucy - no comment on the Frankies.

Larry - as I'm not a wild and crazy guy, I think my stories would be pretty tame and probably not very entertaining.

Tom - I will try to do some of that, as time and images permit.

Pat - sometimes I think you should have the blush.gif devil icon.

Michael - I see you've gotten quite good as copying and pasting others' comments! grin.gif

R - not my job laugh.gif

Don - glad you post on both forums.

I wasn't referring to how the members treat you. 893scratchchin-thumb.gif

Thank you Pat. I thought you probably were but I was a bit embarrassed and didn't know how to handle it. cloud9.gif
