Uncirculated Coinage

4 posts in this topic

I am a beginner at coin collecting and my question is, is an uncirculated coin graded as a MS grade? I have some coins that I purchased that are wrapped in store packaging that say uncirculated, they look un touched by human fingers. I tried reading the grading guide but still confused. Appreciate any comments. Thanks!

UNC is an older term in coin grading usally.... UNC coins could be from AU 55 - MS 70... If you can post some pictures of the coins... that would help alot.... and what coins we are talking about here...

The coins I am refering to are Statehood Quarters. I have bought some coins from Hallmark- where they had the quarter packaged with the state emblem in silver. Hallmark stop making these coins after the first 20 quarters. I also have uncirculated silver and platnium statehood quarter sets packaged with a CaseXX knife of each year from 1999.

I also collect all US coins. I love coins.
