Who Says Ike is Ugly? - Back Today From NGC - POP 1

I'm not sure who would have tried to spend this magnificent creature, but thankfully someone saved him from further circulation.

And if you people are good, maybe I'll post a picture of my PF55 Bicentennial Kennedy from the same submission. Also a Pop 1. thumbsup2.gif

Another fine addition to your personal collection, I see! cloud9.gif

You must have been waiting breathlessly by the mailbox awaiting the return of this fantastic pop 1 coin. It's really quite neat as well as being entertaining. thumbsup2.gif

Since you people have been so good, here is the other Pop 1 that I received back today.

I admit he is not as nice as the Ike, but the Ike was saved from circulation just a little earlier. I'm still kicking myself for not buying that raw PF40 Franklin. mad.gif

No, it's just hairlined to death. I MS70ed it, dipped it, worked it, did everything I could to it and it still doesn't have nice mirrors. The reverse looks like a matte proof. It was covered in PVC when I first got it.

BTW, this submission wasn't all junk. I got back a modern proof Lincoln with a beautiful color that just cuts the obverse in half. cloud9.gif I'll try to get a picture of it later.

I received a proof '72 Kennedy in change around 1978/79. I have it stuffed in an album now, but alas, it's not as ugly as yours... 893whatthe.gif ...must have been rescued too soon!

Dang Greg! That is the best "combo-grade" (60 w/ a DCAM) I've ever come across! 893whatthe.gif

I am somehow drawn to that one. Very cool!

Thats what I was thinking, wow!
