Two new nickels to be released for 2004!

I know this is not but does anyone know, short of calling the US Mint, how they plan on packageing these two coins? Will they be included in the mint sets? I don't want to buy 50 sets if the blessed things aren't included in the set. What a disaster waiting to happen!

Yes they will be included in the Mint sets & Proof sets - 11 piece sets this year.

If that's true then the mint sets won't be released until later this year in the Fall when they issue the 2nd new nickel. How do they plan to do that?

They do the same thing with the 50 state quarters. The sets come out way before the release dates of the last 2 or 3 quarters.

The tentative release date announced by the US Mint for the 22 coin Mint sets is May 11th. The tentative date for the 11 coin Proof sets is in June ( no day given ).

 

The first design for the new nickel reverse is to be released into circulation in March. Bags and rolls go on sale same time.
