Help with these pennies....

I'm a comic guy so I need some help with this. These pennies are from a type set handed down to me. Can you give them a grade from the scan and if so what kind of value do they have?

The book is Dansco # 7070 and has 71 holes for coins with 24 missing. But that doesn't answer my question. Just looking for some help on value at this time as I saw this VDB coin mentioned on a TV show and wonder about it's value. So can someone help me out?

Oh, Sorry! I was just asking because I am currently working on a Dansco US type set myself... But that must be an older book if it only has 71 holes. Mine has 76...

 

Well, the 1909 V.D.B looks to be AU to Unc., so about 12-15$. That Proof 42 would bring around 30-35$. They might be worth more...

 

 

 

I only need 4 more to complete my US Type Set, and they can be quite expensive.

 

Liberty Seated- Arrows (1853-55)

Capped Bust- Reeded Edge (1836-39)

Liberty Seated- No Motto (1840-65)

Liberty Seated- Motto (1866-73)

No need to apologize. As a collector myself I know what it's like when you need those last few. Gotta jump at any chance to complete the "run" as we say in the comic world. And yes the Dansco book would be from the late 70's. So are these two of the ones you need....

Yes, they are...

 

The 1854 .10 looks to be in Very Good condition... that would be about 15$ according to the Red Book.

 

The Seated 1850 Dollar looks to be in Fine condition... depending on the mint mark that would be 300-500$.

The mint mark would be a 0 on the 1850 seated dollar. I would guess these would be considered lower grade coins? Much market for these? Thanks Numbers for the info. Have other books I would info on could you PM me your e-mail.
