Not to take attention for Hoot's thread (well, yeah it is....lol) here are some garbage I got at Long Beach this past weekend:

Got these in the Heritage Auction:

These I got on the bourse:

This is a 26-D. Weak strike on the reverse but what the hec? It's in a NGC 63 STAR holder.

Jom,

That is a very, very pretty oregon, and a 1939 at that. 893applaud-thumb.gif

I would have showed it you on Saturday but you weren't there...I suspect you got there late after I had left.

The Buffalo from the auction is a 23-S and grades....no wait...let's ask everyone:

Today's quizzy: What does the 23-S Buffalo grade????

These coins were easier to buy than they were to take pictures of. Man, I had a REAL difficult time yesterday. For some reason I had a hard time getting rid of the glare. Plus, I had to use that stupid black cloth to keep the NGC holder from keeping the picture too dark (closed iris). The pics came out too dark anyway....grrrrr... Therefore I had to lighten the pics in "post processing" which is something I do not like to do. I'm going to have to do these over again unfortunately.

Nice coins, jom, and as always I appreciate your way with words!

I have no idea what you are talking about. But, then again, no one knows what I'm talking about either. 893blahblah.gif

Good job! AU50 by PCGS and I believe it is undergraded. I never did think PCGS was good at circ grades.

IMO, it's at least AU55 if not AU58. BUT...it is definately AU. Great collector coin, if you ask me.

My two favorites are the gold Indian, I realy love the color of the reverse, and the 1919 buffalo. Beautiful coins overall! laugh.gif

It was one of the nicer 10-S's I've seen actually, even when circulated. I had a chance to buy an real nice MS62 earlier last year but passed on it. I was a bit upset I didn't go for it. But I got this one so cheap (about 3.5 times less) I'm not complaining. It fits in with the rest of my set...at least with the better date issues it does. Now I have to find an 11-D and 20-S that look like this in AU55 (and not a cleaned piece). laugh.gif
