Errors and double cover auction

7 posts in this topic

Yes certain kinds of coin errors can bring a premium. The amound of premium depends on the type of error and the date and type of coin.

As an aside. Back when I collected comics I had an early issue of Superman from the late '40s that was probably a 7.0 and had a double cover.

Thanks. I collect coins and stamps as well, like I said. My registry is all comics.

I don't own any double covers and am seriously considering bidding on some. There are dozens of miscuts, miswraps, and poorly inked comics in that auction too.

It just made me wonder if this is the sort of collection that would bring buyers from other fields because they are so unusual.
