kool colored underrated sleeper federal proof coinage you rarely if ever see

Michael, this is a pretty good example of a tone "arrangement" that tickles the "I like it!" part of my brain when I look at it, especially being on the focal area of the obverse, and the periphery to the reverse. But more to my eye, the yellow splotch at the 9 to 10 o'clock position.

 

This is in reference to your post about looking for specific colors on a toned coin.

A very attractive coin!

so look at both the 1883 and 1884!!

Ok, michael. As you asked, here is your second 3 cent piece.

 

My first impression on viewing it was a "so-so", but upon closer examination (longer look), I see an attractively toned coin. It has a too dark obverse tone for me to REALLY like but the reverse is very eye catching and probably even more so in person!

if you saw this coin in person it is much nicer

 

but it is hard to capture the coins colors in a scan but this is all we got here

 

and you are absolutely right the reverse is a killer monster on this 1884!
