OK, One more "Common Date" Toned Peace$ To Share With You Folks

Couldn't hold the trigger back on this one. I just loved the "Look" of it even though it's a common date

 

When I received this piece on approval, I tried to find a reason it shouldn't be in a NGC MS67 holder. I really was not able to do so. The strike is sharp, the luster is very nice, a few small ticks and that's it. And IMO very stunning color. Looks just like the image with actually more orange in person. The top of the reverse where it looks dark actually when tilted is some very pretty red. Enjoy the image.

Does anyone know why NGC won't give the " * " to wonderfully toned dollars that are dark?

 

They should, and you're right, yours is a stunner, especially in a 66 holder.

Congratulations.

 

I guess, in once sense, be pleased it was NOT in a 67 holder because, of course if it was the final pricetag would have been substantially higher for the same coin.

Braddick, I guess in my post I said I tried to find a reason it shouldn't be in a NGC MS67 holder, and was not able to do so. The reason I said that was it IS indeed in a NGC MS67 holder and worthy where it sits. Price was very fair, actually about what it would cost for a white one.

 

Of course it would have been nice for it to be 66 price wise. But to find a Peace dollar with this type of color, strike, luster, and clean surfaces is not common as you are aware of.

These just don't fall from the Peace Tree often with those surfaces and color.

Thank you for the compliment. You did indeed reply to a toned Peace$ yesterday and I appreciate it. And you haven't lost your mind YET I posted two different ones that I received almost at the same time. That will do it for a while. Unless of course a nice one is put in front of me.
