and i understand to tell anything from a scan is iffy at best

SINCE THIS IS A PROOF COIN AND IT IS CLOSE TO IMPOSSIBLE TO SEE HAIRLINES FROM A SCAN I WILL TELL YOU THAT THIS COIN HAS ABSOLUTELY NO HAIRLINES NOR MARKS ON THIS COIN NONE!

 

the colors on this coin especially so the red color is from toning not original mint red

michael, I think that is one beautiful IHC!

 

As I know nothing about the series, had to do some "checking", and after having done so, I think this might have graded out as a PRRB64. But because of the toning, and, therefore, eye appeal, it may have been bumped to a 65 or 66.

 

As you have told us the tone is over the original red of the coin, I don't think it made PRRD, and there appears to be some minor wear on the focal areas, but not much.

 

My final assessment---PRRB65. A DEFINITE eye grabber!

well the coin as you already know grades proof65 rb

 

for me also there is no wear on this coin at all

maybe? the toning makes it look so from the photo

 

for me i grade this coin at least a proof66++ if not 67 red brown

Michael a great coin. My original assessment was PR 66-67 . Hard to tell from this scan whether Red (toned) or RB. Whatever this is super gem!
