How much value, if any, do they add to a Morgan dollar?

To me: Zero. In fact it is a pain for me to crack the coins out of them. To some people $10-$20.

I cracked a few coins out of GSA holders that were definitely affected by the plastic (haze, plasticisers). So, for me personally, they devalue the coin, while those who are big into originality want to pay extra for them.

They are prolly worth more if they are in PCGS or NGC holders. My opinion.

Depending on the dates GSA holders may or may not add value to the coins:

78, 90, 91 GSA holders add substantial values, check out buying prices in Coin World...or check with KING of CARSON CITY DOLLAR.

82-84 GSA holders add value on MS60-to MS62 grades, see above.
