Where is Q. David Bowers?

Last I heard, he was still in New Hampshire, working on a couple of new books.

I think he may have had a non-compete agreement with B&M that's making him keep a low profile.

My guess is that he had a time-limited, non-compete agreement with HRH (CU). IMHO, he surely is in a position to retire if he desires. He has always spoken of having a couple book projects that he is working on.

Whether he is in the wings on the ANR venture, who knows? Most of ANR's employees are ex-B&M employees, who stayed in Wolfesboro when B&M went south.

Agree with all of the above - the rumor is that he will come out of the shadows again after his non-competition agreement expires. That's just what I've heard- I have no personal knowledge beyond that, but take a close look at ANR and its principals. ANR seems to be off to an outstanding start, by the way. More competition is always better for everybody!

I heard he was cloning himself. 893whatthe.gif Then he planned to open giant Wal-martesque coin shops and corner the market.

From all I've heard he's a nice guy with old school ethics. Can this be confirmed by the masses here?

He is a very nice person and certainly from the old school of manners and courtesy. Although I was a customer for many years, I have had only a couple of personal business dealings with him over the years and have spoken to him at shows a couple times, but he was always attentive and concerned.

BTW, my Dad did business with Dave Bowers for years before I did and thought very highly of him.
