Nice set, Victor! Does Dansco have printed pages for the commems following the 2001 American Buffalo?

Sorry about the bad pics. They were better last time when I took them outside in the sun. :sorry:

Even though modern commems are not "hot" right now, it is not relevant to me. I really like the set even though it is a behemoth! It took me over 5 years to complete this set so it really is quite an accomplishment and I'm proud to be able to share it with you.

Astrostu, does your brother collect the series?

Naw, I got a blank dollar Dansco for Volume III.

There are 118 coins in the set up to the present.

Notice the Lafayette Dollar copies I have as a filler in the last two holes of page 4 and the two Iceland Leif Erickson commems in the filler holes on page 8.

Some of you may remember the post I started on the Lafayette copies.

Those are awesome Victor. Congrats my friend on a great Dansco completion. I love it when I'm able to fill that last hole and just able to sit and wait for the next year! Very nice Victor!

[font:Comic Sans MS]You'll notice that starting with album 3 and the 2002 coins, I have the obverse of the MS coin showing and the reverse of the proofs showing.[/font]

Hard to say. He took up coin collecting when I was a teenager (he's 4.5 years my younger) because I did. I was collecting "everything that circulated" so he tried to differentiate himself and concentrated on commemoratives. He stopped for a few years, but then last year picked it back up and bought the Jameston (don't know if he also bought the Little Rock one), and he seemed interested in the Bald Eagles when I told him about them this year.

Victor, CONGRATULATIONS on putting together the whole set!!! :golfclap: That is a very nice looking group of coins.

Given all the silver there you must set off every metal detector in your neighborhood. ;)

Very nice looking set! That is a very nice presentation! Our mints sure do a good job don't they?

Do you collect the half's as well and if so are you close on completing that set?

Nice set Victor, I only still have (27) commems total including halfs and $5 gold with (25) slabbed. I sold most of the all the dollar and half sets that I had bought from 1982 through 1993 and kept the gold.

I thought it would be neat if the MS and proofs were arranged vertically one on top of the other. This makes the presentation more orderly instead of having the pair separated with one on the right and another on the left. Seems to make sense at least for the later pages that don't have the text with each opening.

I had a feeling you had the halves as well! :applause:

Advice:

I just put 15 different NGC PR69 UC commem halves on ebay.

Would it probably be cheaper if I just cracked the slabs for an album or do you think that e-bay will give me a profit on the slabs and then I can purchase the coins raw with the profits?

Thanks for the feedback. (thumbs u
