Do you think there should be a Modern Commemorative variety set?

This set would include the following:

1994-P MS Jefferson

1996-W Roosevelt Dime

1997-P MS Jefferson

1998-S Matte Kennedy

2000 Proof Lief Ericson Icelandic Version

Any comments?

In the Red Book and Greysheet the 1998 Matte Kennedy and Icelandic Proof are part of the commemorative series.

The 1996-W is part of the Mint set.

The 1994 and 1997 Jefferson's came along with the Commemoratives.

But I think, more importantly, that since the US Mint added the Roosevelt Dime and two Jefferson Nickels to these sets that they did so as a commemorative.

That is why I think they could be part of a variety set.

A collector who makes his own decisions could easily decide to include these in his modern commem set. It is very similar to collectors of the early commems (such as myself) who include the three US/Philippine Commonwealth commems of 1936 in their set.
