here is my question how long should you have to wait

example:early bird coins arrive at ngc on the 1st of nov they should be graded by the 19th right with the mail being slow i should have the coins by the nov22nd right why does it take alot longer than that to get coins back early bird takes 3-4 weeks instead of 12 days why

econo 21 days why does it take a month and a half to get the coins back

how many coins does ngc get per day verse how many they send out are they really backed up

I have no idea on theses questions could someone help

Our turnaround estimates are currently not being met on Earlybird and Economy due to unusually heavy submissions, but we are working hard to get things back on track. We sincerely apologize for any inconvienience.

I used my coupons for the express service and was very pleased. I shipped the coins priority mail Saturday at noon. By Monday morning they had arrived and were logged in (I tracked them using the online feature). By Tuesday early afternoon they were graded.

So they met that estimate and I was pleased with the service.

Don't we also have to take business days into consideration as well? That is, it should take twelve business days, not twelve consecutive calendar days. Twelve business days cut into three weeks of time, not including possible holidays. Forgetting that coins are only processed on business days may also be a factor for it taking longer than anticipated. I might be wrong though. Does NGC only count business days?

What's interesting, to me, is PCGS turnarounds are so much quicker these days. Down to ten days on some Modern or Economy submissions.

That's not necessarily a good thing (other than getting your coins back quicker).

What that tells me is many more Dealers and Collectors are submitting to NGC instead (and at the expense of) PCGS.

I think I'd rather have a tremendously successful (and maybe a bit slower) Service looking at my coins these days. NGC appears to be taking the lead, if not already, from PCGS.

Good for them! It's deserved.

I have to admit that the slow turn around time is a major drawback to having coins graded at NGC. This is one area where PCGS is better.

For regular service/early bird you guys are about the same, but PCGS frequently gets moderns done in under two calendar weeks and economy done in under a calendar month.
