The hairlines are far too few for a 63. MINUTE lil ones. looks more 64 technically, but the eye appeal is better'n a LOT of 65's and 66's I have seen.

I would consider it a misgrade. However I did not argue price because slabs do not lie.

Is any of the luster gone? This is a very fine coin that in the picture should have made 65. All area's look like they would show original luster. I see no wear, and the lines, well that could have come from the graders loupe. Well you got a excellent coin. I do however disagree with 63. To say that the coin would need to be 100 times better to make 64, and then 100 times greater than 64 to make 65; I just don't see it. Well I guess that is why I don't own NGC or PCGS, but I would still grade it 65 if it looked this good in person as it does in the photo.

I would rather have a nice clean looking proof with a few hairlines and booming luster than an example in the same grade with subdued luster or splotchy toning.

Great find!

Exquisite coin Count! 893applaud-thumb.gif For some reason the proof seated coins are generally more appealing to me than the MS. 893scratchchin-thumb.gif (But I've seen some of EVP's that can knock your socks off!)
