Type Set Question -- NGC Registry

I am building a 20th Century Type Set Proof Only set, can I use a 19th century coin in this set?

 

For example, is a 1899 proof Liberty Nickel okay or does it have to be 1901 and later date?

Double check the scoring to see, but for most of the sets, if a Liberty nickel is required, any Liberty nickel of the With Cents variety is usable.

That's correct. You may use any coin so long as it's of the same type still in production during the period covered by the set.
