Will NGC start a Canadian Set Registry, also?

I see great potential in type sets by sovereign, even if not in registered sets.

 

US coins can't be collected in a similar way because denomination designs are somewhat independent of each other. For instance, during the Liberty Seated series there were 4 different types of cents minted (large cents, flying eagles, copper-nickel Indians, and bronze Indians), let alone all kinds of changes for other non-silver coins.

 

My George V type set will probably never be totally complete since the "godless" 50 cent pieces are too pricey for me in higher grades (though my wife was kind enough to get me one in VF). Still, I think it will be a decent but not impossible challenge to complete Victoria, Edward VII, George V, George VI and Elizabeth II sets.
