What do think about the look of these coins?

I was looking through these ebay auctions and wonder what you all think about the surfaces of these coins. The more I looked at these the more I am wondering if something is simply "not right" about some of them. Your comments please. I like the dealer himself... he provides very large pictures:

The 1876 dime is not gem. The glare covers lots of marks on the fields. It is more like a 62 or 63, IMO.

 

The 1870 3CN is nice. The other isn't so nice.

What do you think about the "irregular" surface on the reverse of the dime? The irregularity looks unusual to me.

It has an orange peel effect which I personally like. You'll see surfaces like that occasionally.
