British Columbia Gold (What Are These Things?)

6 posts in this topic

1849 British Columbia Gold $1 Says it is an NGC MS65. The "coin" is obviously raw in the photo.

Another one

1849 British Columbia Gold Qtr Again, says it is NGC MS65.

1849 British Columbia Gold $2 Also, NGC MS65, but looks raw.

Are these just like the replica California gold tokens that are for sale all over the place? Anyone have any history on them?

Thanks for the info. I didn't think they were real coins and I'm pretty sure that NGC didn't certify them.

I'll contact the seller tomorrow if I have time and see if I can get a better description of them.

Never needed to actually contact the seller. Thanks to the info Spiny provided I was able to do a little more searching on these and everything pointed to them being fantasy pieces/tokens and of low value.
