  1. Shane - I noticed the "wink" icon at the bottom of your post

for the 1879 Stella - and what a coin that is !! For a second

I thought it was for real - but as its [ just past Midnight though ]

April Fool's Day, I thought it was a joke.

No joke - here's a coin I have lusted for and begged for

from another Barber Half Collector; we arranged a swap

for five of my duplicates for this beauty.

  3. Nice coins, everyone! I haven't found much to buy recently, but came across this coin at the show sponsored by the Gorham Coin Club (my local club) last weekend. The Mint hand engraved the outer leaf on the second, right laurel cluster of almost all working dies pressed from Obverse Hub A, but a few slipped through, giving us the missing leaf varieties. There are missing leaf varieties for each year that Obverse A was used, 1866 through the beginning of 1869. This coin is the first missing-leaf variety from 1869 that I've found in mint state condition.

  5. Dooley,

Can you tell us a little about this piece. It is interesting.

    Rey

    Hi rey .. sure can

The token is a Duke of northumberland perambulation token AKA. these tokens were given to people by the Duke so they could prove to his Keepers/tenets that they had is permission to be on his land.. or they would have been shot or kicked off.

Do you have anything similar in the USA ?
