  1. Thank you guys for all your help on this I appreciate it. I like this forum a lot although PCGS is a better fit for me. I don't know why and no offense to anyone here. It just seems to be buzzing with activity and I really don't understand why.
  2. I have a bunch of auction catalogs as well as reading auction lot description. I believe a ton of information can be extrapolated from them. BTW I demand nothing of anyone ever especially amongst fellow collectors. Why be so pompous. That's a major turn off and likely is part of what thins the crowd. Nonetheless we must tolerate others dispositions if we are to be civil.
  3. Hoghead(sorry) That's a sad but bittersweet story. I appreciate your sharing it with us!
  4. Thank you for that information. I have educated myself on this not that I want to sound like I don't appreciate it. It may help others who read this as well. I basically want to know about anicoins though if possible.
  5. Can you provide any information about anicoins slabs?
  6. This is my new addition to my Oregon Trail set which I will build over time. It's a beauty to behold. I feel so lucky to have it.
  7. How about this.....when I get it I will polish it up and we will see if it's got a shot at an upgrade!
  8. I never thought of doing that. It's something I am very good at. I have all of the right stuff. Just think "old headlight restoration ". What a great idea!
  9. Here you go. BTW this is the end of the road for this slab. It's coming out the day I get regardless of an upgrade. This holder's to dam ugly.
  10. I think it was a good buy and something I won't need to upgrade for my type set.
  11. In addition to collecting the bust coin series I am fond of walking liberty halves. I purchased this coin yesterday. I couldn't resist. It's currently in an OGH. I will reveal the grade later. I believe the holder is very scratched up and difficult to see the coin clearly so I'm hoping it's even nicer than it's current grade. Please tell me your opinion of its grade. I'm doing this for fun so please be kind.
  12. Merry Christmas to this coin community.
  13. I am seeing that many are worth $1-$5 as you said. I am coming across a few good ones though. Straits Settlements 1891&1894 10C Plus I have a good 30 ancient silver, brass and copper coins. All of them are in the $50 and up range. I bought the lot for fun. I hope to calculate my cost out of it and trade it or sell it all to a dealer for US coins or a coin but who knows there could be a winner in here. They look very old. I would guess put away in the early 70's. I have at least 1000 coins and they are all labeled so yes it helps. Does anyone here like ancient coins? Let me know I will be glad to sell them or trade them for US.
