    Thanks, its a great coin. I am very interested in the provenance of my collection and this one is surprisingly difficult to track down. Hopefully someone on the forum can help out.

    I recently purchased this 1851 State of California $20 gilt and am looking into its provenance. I found it in Heritage auctions in 2018 and 2020 but nothing before that. Since it is unique in gilt, I am wondering if anyone on the forum has any knowledge of this particular coin. Thanks

    Just purchased this 1851 State of California $20 Gilt. I cant find any prior reference for it other than Heritage auctions 2018 and 2020. Since it appears to be unique in Gilt, I am hoping someone can help me find more of its provenance. Thanks Bob
