  1. I just love it when a nice "CAMEO" copper comes out of no where, and screams "BUY ME".............O.K.
  2. The new set for "Lincoln Cents, 1909-Date, Circulation Issue" has a slot for 1922 no D, and 1955 DDO. I thought this set was supposed to not have any varieties included.
  3. I put together my set for the new "Lincoln Cents, 1909-Date, Circulation issue", and am currently #2, but I noticed that scores for 1970 to 1973 coins are at zero in this set, where they have scores in my other sets.
  4. Did you know that you said you were going to "display it along with the plague"? I assume you meant plaque, but I found it funny. Congrats on your very prestigious award.
  5. Mine might be currently ranked as #2, but it is the most complete with all NGC coins at 58% so far. :-) Little things matter.
  6. I just picked up another Cameo wheatie…………….I can't wait to see what it really looks like.
  7. Even though this set doesn't include varieties, you still have to compete with the scores of those varieties if they are used in the set.
  8. I've always had a hard time understanding why buyers get upset at the prices owners and dealers are asking for their items. If the prices asked are too high, don't buy from them and look elsewhere. It really is that simple. Just like if the price is too low, you should snap it up quick. If, on the other hand, a seller is asking the fair market price for an item, it is up to you to decide how much you are willing to pay, and try negotiating. I, as a seller, am completely within my rights to ask a million dollars for my $10 item, just as you, the buyer, are completely within your rights to offer 10c for my $10 item. The sale is made when the seller AND the buyer come to an agreement on the price.
  9. Only 16 in this high grade so far, and none higher. Another great addition to my set.
  10. That's it...…….but it doesn't seem to be available anywhere. Thanks.
  11. I like early Lincoln cameos. These all seem to have that factory haze, which is a problem. I wonder what NCS could do for these.
  12. I just picked up this old crusty 1803 large cent. I like the detail, but I'm concerned about the corrosion. I would like to stabilize it, and possibly remove some of the crust without causing further damage. I know that "cleaning" a coin is always a bad idea. I've heard of soaking in Extra Virgin Olive Oil for long periods of time, but I've never actually had any success with this method. I've also heard of a product that will dissolve corrosion crust without altering the toning (brown color) of old copper coins. I can't remember the name of that product, and I don't know if they even still make it. Any advise would be welcomed. I would also love to hear your opinions on that big hooey on the obverse above Liberty's forehead. Planchet void perhaps?
  13. Here's the one it replaced. I didn't like the color. It looks "messed with".
  14. leeg, When I see nice Lincoln cent photos, I have to compare it to mine...……..Yep! yours is very well struck. Mine is mushy in the hair details.
  15. We're all pulling for you and your family. Hoping for the best for all of you.
  16. I respectfully request that you add five new sets for U.S. Lincoln Cents: 1909-1958 proofs, 1909-1958 complete, 1959-2008 complete, 2009 circulation, & 2010-date complete.
