  1. Thanks for your response. Yes i did post this thread earlier, and apologize for repeating this thread by mistake. I wanted to delete this thread...but i am unable to do it...still working on it
  2. Hi Kbbpll, Thanks for your comment. I'm not sure how it came over here. It could be possible as you said "during wwII " or maybe through some collector. I bought a set of 21 coins of 1944/42/45/41 and one 1958 in extra fine condition at an exorbitant price
  3. Thank you RWB, and all members on NGC board for your time and valuable opinions and comments. However, the date of this coin still keeps me wondering how could the "4" chip off partly with such precision and leave the base which could still be read as "4". any reviews on this please?
  4. Dear all, Hello I'm a coin collector from India. I am having this big Nickel token/Medal of former US President Theodore Roosevelt. The legend has a spelling mistake and the miss-spelled name has a double-die error. Please let me know your expert opinion on its authenticity, and whether it has any good value. Thank you
  5. Hello, I'm a coin collector from India. Please could anyone tell me whether my Lincoln penny of 1944 has an error on the date or is it just a damage. Also the first 4 on the date is somewhat ..like a double impression. What would be the coins worth?

  7. Hello all, hope all are well, and staying safe. wish you all best of health and happiness. I am Hyder from India. I came across this link and couldn't help but join the thread. last week, I too bought an identical token which is made of brass. The only difference being, that it has 2 sails, has a male portrait with the typical pout and on the split legend it is written Gold on the left and Cowen on the right. I think it was a spelling mistake for "Coin". In all fairness, i think this token was made by some Con-Artist to pass it off as gold to gullible customers.
