  1. The only unfortunate thing is she is very old I'm guessing early 80's I thought 60's but she talks about the fifties and was a kid in the 1940's so Great Grand Father out lived her father and her Grand father that sucks. I am going to help her sort out the two safes and see what goes to each of her sons and daughters back in Texas. She plans to keep the folder but has no intentions as far as selling his personal stuff like his guns traps and error collection she had a change of heart for some reason. The cool thing is she takes special breakfast requests from me now at work which is cool but no home cooked meals those are reserved for her husband. She is definitely old school but I hope we find some cheap stuff she can sell because she says she sold her place in texas to cheap and doesn't want a mortgage at her age. She did however marry a guy 20 years younger so my guess is he will own that set soon. I just hope I get to keep helping her and don't lose her trust.
  2. What do you mean hide and watch she has ADT and lives 90 miles from work, her husband is ex military so I wouldn't say her Great Grand Fathers Piece will be found she owns it and keeps everything but guns locked up! I wouldn't mess with her she is from Texas and is proud to show off her pistol which got my attention and is a good reason to return her property as soon as I checked it out. We plan to go to a coin show and certify her piece the one steel cent but if anybody thinks it will get confiscated please say so!
  3. So I searched 425.00 in change and results varied I found a 1939sand 1938s cent in extra fine condition. I found one roll of 1940-1958 wheat cents plus one 1943-s steel cent. I found two buffalo nickels a 1925 p and a 1937 p. The 1937 p is in decent condition the 1925 has a faint date. I have yet to open one box of cents and one box of dimes. I found no silver quarters or silver nickels I filled two holes in my nickel book 1940p and 1957p. I don't have much more to report other than I found one 1923-s cent on the ground which was cool but covered in cement still shows full wheat reverse but cement on obverse but date and Lincoln clearly visible with rough cement surface. I did however find 5 or more 1931 p cents in hand wrapped roll so nothing special this coin roll hunt. I do hope to find some Indian heads in the next box wish me luck! So what's every body else finding? Happy coin roll hunting!
  4. I will try to borrow the one coin and put it on a scale and show you with a magnet but her great Grand Father asked her before he died not to handle the coins but I will explain why and get back to you! Thank you Always!
  5. Didn't know you could do that why hasn't anyone suggested that?
  6. The reason I ask is I was looking over a friends collection of 1930'-1970's major mistrikes and I noticed most if not all were MS coins but does that mean you got to get them from the mint because that would make the condition make sense! Keep in mind my friend wants to get at least one of her coins certified at a coin show it's a 1955 double headed steel cent with one set of two 5's on the obverse with regular bust showing with no 19 and a reverse with reversed direction bust with backward set of 5's on it also missing 19. I love this coin fake or genuine the goast like appearance of the reverse is stunning.
  7. So I do have something to report I purchased two rolls for big bucks like $25 a roll but I got some neat stuff 2 1923-s cents,5 1924-s cents, one 1921-s cent, 5 1909 cents and alot of 1920's and 1930's wheat cents along with two sets of 1915 p/d/s. I feel I got my moneys worth. I realize this was a blind sale however I look for people who sell alot of junk and may have a roll or two for sale but not alot of coins because chances are they don't collect coins and bought it at the good will or a yard sale and sometimes you luck out. I do advise asking questions though like what's at both ends of the rolls? I got 1923-s,1909,1922 and 1923-s so I made my decision on to buy because I need more 1923-s to fill a page which i'm close but not yet. I did find the 1922 but it's heavily corroded with a decent obverse but almost flat reverse so valueless but fun to collect also a coin I don't have a full page of yet. No such luck on the 1909 s vdb cent I did pay for it however the seller refuses to send until February 26 for no reason what so ever. I believe I am due a refund if they never send it but it's better to not request one and let them deal with their own conscience.
  8. Just1hoein if you do get a virus don't send you computer to HP China just get a new one like I did get one of you Chemistry buddies to soak it in sf and dispose of the computer.
  9. baidu popups are bad to the virus quarantined on my computer is DRC
  10. Be aware of lexus nexus they tried to charge my pay pal account for $1,444.
  11. Unfortunately I have to stick to my community I would love to have a regular girl friend but I have a medical condition and I have to stay inside the community. Brother I seen the most amazing coin today helping my friend sort out her great grand fathers coin collection of 1930'-1970's error coins all mint state except for one a double headed 1955 steel cent that was circulated with one head correct position and the other reverse direction but the dates read 55 not 1955. I think its genuine because unlike my magicians coin theirs no lip where a coin was inserted inside a coin.
  12. I should have said the coin had two 5's on the obverse two backward 5's on the reverse not the whole date!
  13. The cool thing is Heidi has two safes full of her great grand Fathers coins mostly rolls and some folders but supposedly she wanted me to look at the folder she handed me because it never left his side he carried it everywhere!
  14. Mr Bill I'm afraid that coin has been said to be lost in the mail on the receipt they are offering a refund but I refuse I can wait!
  15. I had a very special day today I finally got to check out Heides Great Grand Fathers coin collection and it was all pvc flips so damaged but amazing. I seen a 1970 quarter labeled clipped planchet but with date half the coin clipped, I seen a 1955 triple struck coin with three dates on it all 1955, I seen a 1964 dime at first looked like a clad planchet so we took it out of the case false alarm it was silver and all sorts of errors and double dies a few bie errors all unc condition, I got to the last page with my magnet as I was scanning all pages for steel cents and a 1955 double headed penny stuck to the magnet un believable coin Lincoln faces one direction regular on one side and the other side he sits reversed with reversed date an amazing coin if it's real the folder was labled 1930-1970 and the case the 1955 steel cent was in said found in change with no other label. I immediately brought the coins back to her and told her we need to go to a coin show and have some professionals look at it. I did see some cool stuff that might be worth some money like washington silver quarter offsets that are uncirculated a 1964 silver dime clipped planchet the 1970 p,1970D and 1970-s clipped planchet cent set a 1937 lamination error with full date unc coin brilliant blue coin. Jfk half dollar missing clad error coin looks zinc. Jefferson nickels double stamped with two dates. Several other errors like wheat pennys missing u in unum all unc coins most of her great Grand Fathers coins were uncirculated though. I don't think anything other then the 1955 was less then ms 60. How lucky I feel to have seen such a collection. I do wish I owned that penny though real or not a 1955 double headed regular obverse reversed date reverse steel cent unbelievable. I thought that set was really unique I was supposed to keep it for a week to do research but no way she's got to take charge of that situation and protect her assets. I would have taken pictures but I had to get it back to it's rightful owner.
  16. Don't give up Seek and ye shall find when I roll hunt the Lord is always on my mind! 17. I just embarrassed my self by approaching the best looking woman I have ever seen pissed her off so I guess better to have tried and lost then to have never have tried before!
  18. If I found that I would either pass it down to a family member or trade it for a whole collection but I wouldn't sell it. My guess is it's trade for rare goods would be how to get the most for your money out of it. If you have a wife maybe ask her opinion on the metal or coin. I think they are supposed to be .50 gold so not pure but have it xrf tested from one of your coin dealer friends so you don't have to pay. I think those guys charge 25.00 a test but i'm not sure I haven't been down that way since dropping mom off at the airport for vacation.
  19. I guess it's real gold I went to the worth point site but doesn't gold not tarnish?
  20. Is yours real Gold and did you find that in change because that beats anything I have found in change if that's real gold. My coin is an 1852 goldene brass 1/2 cent token and I think I got it in the dollar or four for a dollar bin but who knows there is a five dollar bin as well and it's usually customary if you get a great deal out of the 4 for a dollar bin to buy one item out of the five dollar bin to sweeten the deal for the shop owner. For example I don't have a single 1870's indian that didn't come from the four for a dollar bin all g4 or just date holders but we got a few. My guess if it's goldene brass it's a Daniel Hurkert Creation if not thats an excellent coin find!
  21. 1853 brass token California Gold I believe. I did buy a mini California gold piece. Now mine was 13mm .69g goldene brass minted by Daniel Hurkert 1972 and earlier. Who made yours?
