  1. That looks pretty genuine. I would take a chance and send it in to be authenticated and graded. Nice find!
  2. I would say that this coin would only grade out at MS-65 at best due to the discolorization and imperfections in the fields. This coin in my opinion, does not need to be graded. Refer to the NGC U.S. price guide under "resources". It will give you the average auction results for coins in each grade. You don't want to spend unnecessary money on a coin that will not bring a premium.

  4. Hello! I have been looking high and low for an attribution guide for the Braided Hair Large Cent varieties like repunched dates and date orientation etc... Where Can I find something like this? I have looked on ebay, done several google searches and I keep coming up with coinage variety guides for Pre-1839 Braided Hair designs. I imagine that Newcomb has published something like this in the past. Just cannot find. Thank you in advance for your input and help.
