  1. This is an email I received yesterday in response to a contact us email I sent.

There is a temporary issue with the NGC Registry program. Recently added CAC-certified coins, both NGC and PCGS coins, are currently not able to display the CAC status icon (due to a temporary disconnect with the CAC verification site.)

Our programmers are currently working to fix this issue as soon as they are able. Thank you for your patience

  2. I recently received back a submission to CAC, and a have a few new beans to update in my registry sets.  However, when I make the attempt through edit NGC indicates the coin is not CAC, and I should check the CAC website.  I do, and it is verified there the coin is Green CAC.  I then tried deleting and re-adding the coin and still it did not pick up the CAC designation.  Is this a known issue being addressed, or something new?

  3. I recently purchased a 55 DDO (FS-101, although not designated on the label) an in all my Lincoln competitive sets it is not showing available to fill the DDO slot, although it does show under my coins for 1955 and in fact is listed in all my sets as it as the highest point value.  The coin is not designated DDO or with an FS (See image) - how to I get this coin into the correct slot?  BTW, I have already tried deleting and re-entering with no effect.55DDO_Obverse.jpg.0908d3816189df23f4478cd93884ff88.jpg

  4. I recently submitted two Wheat Cents for crossover and as part of the return shipment the top portion of the PCGS paper inserts containing the grade and the certification numbers were included.  I am wondering does NGC share with PCGS (and visa versa) when coins are crossed over with the anticipation they will adjust their census?  I know the censuses are out of whack, more so for certain coins than others, but I'm curious if any effort is made to keep them as accurate as they can given the information they have.
