  1. Got this email last evening... NGC Updates CAC Sticker Scores in the NGC Registry The NGC Registry is a free online resource from NGC where collectors can display their coins and compete with other collectors from around the world for prizes and recognition. Nearly 33,000 collectors display a total of more than 1.7 million coins in the NGC Registry. The NGC Registry currently accepts coins certified by NGC and most US coins certified by PCGS. In addition, recognition is provided for US coins that have received a sticker from CAC. Effective July 25, CAC-stickered coins now receive the same point score in the NGC Registry as coins certified by NGC and PCGS. This change helps to ensure a more level playing field for all participants in the NGC Registry. NGC plans to continue to recognize whether a US coin has received a CAC sticker. However, since early June, NGC has been unable to use CAC’s tool to verify whether a coin has received a CAC sticker. NGC has been informed by CAC that this issue will be resolved soon, at which point the NGC Registry will resume recognition of coins that have received a CAC sticker.
  2. I just confirmed PCGS is experiencing the same thing. The opinion on their board is strongly leaning to CAC pulling the plug as they are now a direct competitor to PCGS and NGC.
  3. It may be due to the changes at CAC, in fact that is likely. It does become problematic if they never make the data available again. I'm sure they'll have their own variety of a registry - I wonder how that's going to play out...
  4. This is an email I received yesterday in response to a contact us email I sent. There is a temporary issue with the NGC Registry program. Recently added CAC-certified coins, both NGC and PCGS coins, are currently not able to display the CAC status icon (due to a temporary disconnect with the CAC verification site.) Our programmers are currently working to fix this issue as soon as they are able. Thank you for your patience
  5. I recently received back a submission to CAC, and a have a few new beans to update in my registry sets. However, when I make the attempt through edit NGC indicates the coin is not CAC, and I should check the CAC website. I do, and it is verified there the coin is Green CAC. I then tried deleting and re-adding the coin and still it did not pick up the CAC designation. Is this a known issue being addressed, or something new?
  6. Thank you - that actually worked without having to do the "I'm looking" step - clicking around there somehow moved it into the proper slot...
  7. I recently purchased a 55 DDO (FS-101, although not designated on the label) an in all my Lincoln competitive sets it is not showing available to fill the DDO slot, although it does show under my coins for 1955 and in fact is listed in all my sets as it as the highest point value. The coin is not designated DDO or with an FS (See image) - how to I get this coin into the correct slot? BTW, I have already tried deleting and re-entering with no effect.
  8. Thank you, that worked! It must be how I did it in the past as I do have a few PCGS coins. I just didn't recall!
  9. I have a newly acquired PCGS coin which I am trying to add to my registry, and the web page is not giving me a button to add the coin. I've tried every variation of the PCGS Cert # to no avail. Is there a problem with this submission (See image)?
  10. I recently submitted two Wheat Cents for crossover and as part of the return shipment the top portion of the PCGS paper inserts containing the grade and the certification numbers were included. I am wondering does NGC share with PCGS (and visa versa) when coins are crossed over with the anticipation they will adjust their census? I know the censuses are out of whack, more so for certain coins than others, but I'm curious if any effort is made to keep them as accurate as they can given the information they have.
  11. So are you indicating that if my coins receive the sticker I need to do this, or to do this if they don't show up automatically? If the latter, after what amount of time?
  12. I have submitted a number of my registry coins to CAC recently. Presuming at least a few receive the jelly bean, will my registry scores automatically update, or do I need to re-register the coin(s)?
