Sad day indeed!
Not that I have any #1 sets with PCGS coins,but...
I admired NGC for making it possible to include PCGS coins in their registry sets. PCGS graded coins are, at a minimum, of comparable quality and NGC's openness to them was laudable. As another poster had mentioned, they appeared perched on a moral high ground. Not that any of my #1 World sets have anything but NGC coins in them. As a matter of fact, I find that top-pop PCGS coins are a lot more expensive. But I liked the convenience of shopping for NGC or PCGS coins for my other sets. Maybe NGC will get a lot of crossover business, but not from me. I will keep my PCGS coins, the few that I have, and leave those NGC registry sets incomplete. It is World coins now, but I am certain US coins are next. Once NGC has abandoned its high ground, it has embarked on a slippery slope.
