It's definitely NOT "too late" to get on board! in coins or scrap!

Greetings Collectors,

Gold punched through $1300 "inter day" this last Friday but with almost a $12 gain today, it's well above that mark. (just a while ago I checked and gold was $1310.30 & silver was $21.77) I predict that gold at under $1200 may never be seen again. Those of you that have some, buying now, is "NOT" an unwise move. Those of you that don't have any but want some, wait and you may get a correction around Nov. 3rd through about the 15th. I have predicted that when the election occurs and the "blood letting" that will take place may give the dollar and stocks a boost which will adversely effect the price of the metals across the board. As I have mentioned, the investing public will start to see a pathway out of the madness and will probably see a dramatic climb in the Dow and other exchanges which in the past, has not bode well for gold. Thus the correction in gold that I have predicted. Of course when I first made this prediction a month or so ago, gold was over $100 less, so in that I said, "hold off" in the gold buying until this correction. Now we may see a 10-15% correction, but from what amount will it correct from? It may have been better to have bought then rather than later, after that possible "pull back". Of course I am continuing to buy anytime I think, that which I've bought, is a good deal. There is no "for sure" way to "time" any market so I will just hold to my thinking that gold is a screaming buy $100+ of either side of today's close. I know I continue to sound like a "broken record" in my phrase "This ride is only just beginning"! And if & when it corrects, it will be "short lived" & then it will be "off to the races" again with a "vengeance".

There are many different ways to profit the same, "percentage wise" from the metals and I love gold but I think silver will do ever bit as good, if not better. I am going to try and buy some rolls of 40% silver Kennedy halves tonight at about $60-$68 per roll. This is a great way for those that don't have the "bucks" to be buying ounces of gold 3 or 4 times a month. I know my days of buying $20 double eagles for $600 each is gone forever, never to return. I'm just glad I bought, literally, all I had money for in 2000-2005. I have always been a buyer of both silver and gold, and in all forms in a big way since the early 90's. Common date graded MS-62 $20 gold coins were $285 - $350 each during that time of $250 gold.

What I have pictured are a few old rings that had damaged stones, which I removed. A "former" Ruby bracelet (in which the stones had been removed) that I bought off eBay at well below melt earlier this year. Silver Mexican "Onza's bought years ago for next to nothing and some 90% silver Kennedy's and Franklin halves that I was just looking over past invoices and saw where I had paid $30 & $40 respectfully per roll for each. (this was almost 20 years ago) And of course last but not least, the chain and nugget I wear daily. The 25 gram chain was one I paid $300 for, many many years ago and was purchased at a jewelry price rather than a scrap/melt price. The 12 gram nugget I had made by a friend who used a small emerald and a couple of my scrap 18k rings I had. He made the nugget design by pouring the "molten gold" over a clump of yellow broom straw, which burned away to get the look it has. I bet I've had a hundred people comment as to what the nugget was supposed to resemble. Most say it looks kinda like an eagle but I would counter, it's not supposed to look like anything. I have always said, "It's just a clump of scrap gold with an embedded emerald".

It has of late, "boggled" my mind as to what just a small amount of scrap gold is worth. And it's very easy to buy and many times you can actually get some for a lot less than the "melt price". As I have said many times, there are many ways to "cash in" on the run in gold & silver and many times, getting involved, won't cost you an arm and leg. All of us that collect coins will get an added "bump" from this "run-up" in the price of all precious metals and it sure makes for an added pleasure knowing that which we bought 1, 3, 5 or even 10 or more years ago is worth a great deal more, than that which was paid.

Isn't this hobby great! I love it!

Happy Collecting (and investing)
