Dont mean to complain, just trying to help with the hobby I LOVE

Looking back at the few journals I have posted in retrospect, I sound as if I have a bad attitude toward dealers in general. This is not the case at all even if it appeared as such. I have known many dealers and collector/dealers that were as good as gold. They have gone out of their way to help, teach and share their knowledge freely. Having said that, it bothers me, maybe more than it should, the fact that some are not as honest as all of us would like. I have always been one to speak my mind, and to get involved when I see an injustice to anyone in life. This has almost gotten me into serious trouble on more than one occasion. My thoughts are that when we see something thats not honest or right, bring it up, expose it and inform others. If we dont, the apathy will do nothing but bring ill will to this hobby that I, and I'm sure most anyone reading this truely love and enjoy. I have subscriptions to Coin World, Coins, Coinage and Numismatic News and I did not see the article kjohn mentioned in his or her post, but I am sure that the dealers did or someone informed of the contents. Bottom line, I dont begrudge someone in business making a profit, that is the American way, I just have a problem with doing it dishonestly which I think is the case here. First impressions are very important and I am thinking about the new kid on the block who is taken advantage of. Sure they will learn by their mistakes as we all have, but I think it is sad and detrimental for them to be greeted into this wonderful hobby by a person or company who is not completely honest. I am convinced that it will forever leave a bad taste in their mouth. This will be the last negative post from me as in enough negative already, I am waiting for the mailman for a nice $5.00 2006 gold AE I picked up on Teletrade last week along with a few raw coins that NGC has graded and should be here any day now. Boy do I love this hobby! Happy Collecting To All... WKF
