How do you find the numbers

I have even e-mailed the mint.

How many Proof Clad and Proof Silver States Quarters were actually minted and sold for each year. It is easy to tell how many have been graded, but knowing that probably leaves a huge number out there to appear one day and really melt down the now seemingly huge prices for coins that are not even 10 years old.

I have PF70's in Clad and Silver, even both Delawares, but how do people justify these big prices. I started collecting these coins for my children, thinking that when I had three complete sets that included all 50 states, I would give them to them for Christmas one year. Now it seems that I should probably wait a few years. Maybe one day they will be worth a lot to them, but still hope & like to think that Dad having collected them and given them to them for a gift will mean more.

Thanks,

Lamar
