2012 goals

merry christmas and happy new year

holidays wich i want to take this opportunity to wich every one merry christmas and happy new year too all members. 2011 was a great year, i found a lot of great bags of wheat. specially for me that is spending only profit from wheats rolls resale from bags to built my coins collection in 2012 im goin to focus on copper coins, with the large points changes on the registry score and whats happening in the silver and gold coins market i think it's time for me too take a break from them, i t

get my teletrade box but have questions!!!

price guide good morning i get my first teletrade and pcgs coins, very please with this 1954 proof set purchase. before i buy a coin i always check the price listing for that coin in the ngc or pcgs price guide. but when i put that set in my ngc registry set listing the value is much less than pcgs ($330 for pcgs and $236.25 for ngc) question #1 where should i check the value of the coin before i buy? question #2 is there much difference of price and value from pcgs and ngc coin th

teletrade and pcgs good morning today im getting my first shipment from my first teletrade auction and my first lot of pcgs coins. 1954 proof set. i been collecting ngc exclusively for few years now, so let see if i made the rite decision, the coins look good online and the price was ok. the funs and rewards of collecting

pass the top 100 wheat set mark today today is a good day I been buying bags of wheat and goin thru to make 3 different colections, 1 dansco, 1 roll set, and 1 ngc graded set. when i can buy a already NGC graded wheat at 50% of book i buy and i send my nice looking find too be graded and today i get my box from NGC with 8 coins(7 wheat and 1 IH)AFTER WAITING 10 WEEKS.After importing the 7 coins into my registry, i pass the top 100 wheat set. happy collecting and keep looking at your pocke

today they increase the waiting time

increase grading time today NGC increase the the days we have too wait for our order, so if you have a order in process you better check the new list, i know for economy the increase it from 42 days too 46 days, that's almost 10 weeks. sorry for the bad news. happy collecting and let's be VERY patient. patrick To see old comments for this Journal entry, click here. registry low point for graded wheat

wheat registry set low points i just get 5 of my wheat back from ngc 4 of them get graded and 1 get detail label (no surprise there) but when i added them too my set i found the 1912S AU details rev corrosion add 2 points and 1910S AU55, 1915S F15, 1923S XF40, 1931S XF40 added 3 points each, i d'ont understand. wheat or any copper coins grading

clean or not clean not only it's hard too grade coins but more and more i have too deal with coins that are clean or altered. i think im goin to stop buying coins that are not graded, just look on EBAY and you see the number of wheat with no grade just with defination like improperly clean etc... so i have couple questions 1) how do you tell coins as been clean? any books in the matter? 2) do you think coins with just defination label should be accepted in any registry sets? older i get more impatience im getting i send 15 coins too be graded (14 wheat and 1 indian head)then i found out about the turn around. my wife said older i get less patiense i have but we been together for a lot of years. so i cannot wait for my box too come back and see how good my hunting is because all the coins i send were found in bags.
