Faith versus Gold

The return to a precious metal based currency is vital to stop our continuing inflating currency. Weather if is the return or silver and gold certificate or silver and gold coinage it does not matter. We are repeating history for all faith based economies have failed or are in the process of failing. Today I was looking at a recently purchased 1928 Gold Certificate PMG 40. I was thinking about how that note at was time a hedge against the incredible inflation that has our United States curre

The buying of Red Chinese coins is immoral.

Think about what you are supporting when you purchase the Panda Coins minted in Red China. Fellow Numismatists; please open your hearts and minds. I am shocked and appalled when I see my fellow collectors and hobbyist actively and with relish buying and collecting The People's Republic of China's series of Panda silver and gold coins. Every dollar given to the Chinese government is a victory over the political freedoms and human rights that we as Americans at least claim that are important a

The Red Chinese Continue to Flood Our Coin Markets

With no civil rights and basic freedoms the Red Chinese sell in our numismatic community with impunity. This is not the first time and I am sad to say it will probably not be the last time I write to you about the Red Chinese. How can NGC allow Red Chinese coins into the Registry, knowing the deplorable human rights and outright murder that occurred in obtaining the very gold and silver to strike the coins, with the euphuistic name of, "Pandas". Why does NGC feel that this is a non-issue?

Royal Canadian Mint Vignettes of Royalty

The R.C.M. is minting high relief proof coins form Queen Victoria to Queen Elizabeth II. Royal Canadian Mint Vignettes of Royalty If you are not frequent purchaser of coins from the Royal Canadian Mint (I am a Master Club Member) you may have not heard of the R.C.M. The main differences are that Vignettes of Royalty commenced in 2008 with the Que

Red Chinese Coins are allowed in the Registry.

Red Chinese, a country that is a communist country and we ignore the free world the most amazing our true allies in NATO. I have brought up this subject before but I do not understand why the NGC Registry does not allow the posting of any coin that it will grade, when I know that NGC makes plenty of money off of grading the vary coins that I am taking about. The list of non-U.S. coins that are allowed in the NGC pathetic Canada, few home territories and the most unbelievable is an ideologic

ANA is certification/class on grading German coins is pending, NGC has failed the Collectors Society members by denying world coins (which they grade to be placed in the Registry and last but not least the horrors of counterfeit coins being sold continues unabated. I recently had an e-mail conversation with ANA Board member (there is no need to name him now, if you would like his contact information. I do not know how fellow NGC Community Members feel about NGC Registry, but it totally igno

Two months is a better start, than waitng for 20 years to read a couple books R K Baker Trust's thinks is traini

It appears R&K Trust's need to work on their understanding of dedication to training. I never said anyone would be a numismatic expert in two months, but it is start if you are willing to dedicate yourself to leaning. It looks R&K trust should take a breath and get some training. Member of the ANA R&K Trust?s statement take a breath get to Colorado Springs and take advantage to their excellent training. Or build your collection of the education of others. Buying from dealers that sell graded coins from NCG, PCGS and ANACS and ungraded coins are fine if you know whom

I read a journal about never buying coins from a dealer that sells coins graded by the top two graders or as most sell from three graders (NGC, PCGS and ANACS). Now this advice has some truth to it, the writer shows a graded coin he buys from an EBay seller. I think the most accurate statement is don't buy from EBay dealer ever, for if you do you just picked up the devil. Strange think when picking-up the devil, sooner or later he will want to drive and drive you full speed into a wall. I have

Educate or pay us that are.

It takes time to obtain the education to tell a MS-64 coin from a MS-65 but once you have obtained the knowledge you can possible save thousands of dollars in one purchase. I think I know how to grade? That is not a very friendly statement now is it? Since there are those of you that want to buy already graded coins, I have the perfect suggestion, pay for my NGC membership and you can buy from auction houses, since you cannot tell as 64 coin from a 65, I can. But that is what I would expect

More on the money savings in numismatic education.

You can learn to tell the difference between hundreds and even thousands of dollars is you commit to numismatic education. If you do not, it will be we that do making the money, you will just be the mark. I think I know how to grade? That is not a very friendly statement now is it? That is how a NCG Community member that is not a numismatist makes himself feel better. Numismatist Education

Why pay hight prices and/or gamble in auction houses when you are a member of the NGC Collectors Society or PCGS. Educate yourself through the ANA and you will be able to know what the grade of coin is before you send it in. You will never see another body bag again. David Lawarnce Auction Houses or any of these other similar auction houses, Teletrade, Stacks and ECT, are straight out gambling. You were just lucky that you were not out bided. I do not understand finding modern minted U.S.
