American Silver Eagle
On Wednesday 7 February 2007, I received my 2007 MS-70 Silver Eagle, Early Releases. I now have a complete American Silver Eagle set with each date having a Pedigree!
If you have taken a peak, looksy, glance at etc; at my sets you will see that I've never met a pedigree I didn't like!
Collectors like to have the best, only, rarest, most of, etc; of whatever they are collecting. In collecting coins, I like pedigrees.
Another coin.
Today I received my newest NGC FIRST STRIKES silver eagle! I know SOME people say so what. Well I'm a COLLECTOR and can't be satisifed with what everyone else has!
I think it's great that people are able to focus on one goal at a time, I can't. I have seven complete sets of the Silver Eagles with one being the NGC 20th Anniversary set, one complete PCGS (except the Millenium coin). Working on having a compete set of NGC FIRST STRIKES.
Today's coin is a 1999 MS-69, NGC FIRS
20th Anniversay Silver Dollar Set
I ordered two sets of the 20th Anniversary Silver Dollar Sets from the U.S. Mint. My order went to backorder, "great" does that mean I won't get them? A few days later, my wife received an advisement from the Mint about the 20th Anniversay sets, she ordered two sets and they went on backorder!
The months went by and I was able to read and hear about NGC's instructions on how to submit Anniversay sets for certification. (What?, I can't open the boxes f
ICG vs NGC and PCGS
This morning I was watching HSN on cable TV. They were offering American Siver Eagles graded by ICG.
The offer was ICG graded 2007 American Silver Eages, MS-70, Fisrt Day of issue, about 15,000, for $100.00 each!
I was thinking the U.S. Mint must be doing an excellent job of minting. Then I got to thinking, ICG grading standards must not be as tight as NGC and PCGS. I don't think they have ever graded 15,000 MS-70 Silver Eagles in a year let alone the first day!

Received my latest order back!
On Saturday, November 19, 2006, I received my latest order back from NGC. They did a super job for me, they make this hobby very enjoyable! I only deal with NGC!!
Thanks

I too have suffered this problem!
I have also submitted proof sets from the 1960's in OGP!
The last one I submitted, the Lincoln cent came back in a body bag as colored! (NO GRADE) This has happen to me twice on the 1960's.
My first one, was a Commemorative Silver (2004's) dollar in OGP. It came back in a body bag as being cleaned. I pursed this one with the results of it still had a new home in a body bag.
With the time and cost involved, I've just learned to live with it.
Native American treat!
In my humble opinion, this new gold American Buffalo is one of the greatest design the mint has EVER used! I understand next year 2007 the mint will have four coins just like the eagle. Let's hope so.
Secondly, buffalo meat is excellent. IF you are ever in Northern Utah, you must stop by Perry, Utah on I-15! Perry is next to Brigham City to the south. There is a steak house called Maddox Steakhouse.. They have the most EXCELLENT BISON CHICKEN FRIED STEAK. Add
Replaced GSA
Keeping with my goal of a complete collection of one pedigree, I replaced a GSA Carson City. I obtained a Fitzgerald 1884 CC MS-64 for this slot!
I now have over 20 different date/mints for this collection!
QUALITY! a characteristic or attribute; degree of excellence; high standard. That's want I want from NGC!
QUALITY CONTROL! a system of assessing and maintaining the quality of manufactured products. Coin collecting is a HOBBY, I'm not concerned about the time! It's the QUALITY that I want! HAVE A GREAT DAY!
NGC Grading time!

Need to Upgrade!
MWit, has a great looking set! However, you have two sets just below you, that will be passing you soon! You need to upgrade where you can. One of my sets of Morgans was getting ready for the TOP 100, but has been pushed way back, I'can't focus like you. You have done a great job THANKS!
Less than 30!
Sent my latest coins to NGC on 10 March 2006, and received them back 3 April 2006! Two PF70 UC's, Five PF69 UC's, one MS-69 !Thanks NGC you contuine to make my day!
Quality! Quality! Quality!
It's been over two years now that I've been submitting coins to NGC. The Customer Service people have been very outstanding! If you have a problem they fix it!! THANKS! The graders have been great, I'm not so concerned about the time, what I want is quality. I just ask that my coins be graded on what they are and not some curve or percentage. THANKS!
Great program!
I would like to see NGC add a Top 10 or Top 10% Awards. The Morgan Dollar has 521 sets, a Top 10 I might make some day, If I live long enough, and win a lottery! Top 10% would be obtainable for more collectors.
Obscured sets shouldn't be included, the purpose of this site is to share! How can you share if you can't see it.
I started about two years ago!
I had been collecting small amounts of coins for years on and off, until about two years ago. Then I too found the hard stuff (slabs). If that wasn't bad enough I found pedigree coins! Now I haven't found a pedigree I didn't have to have, help! Then about a year ago I sold one of my pedigree coins to a great guy, and he told me he was hoping to pass me on the morgan dollar registry soon! Then I was hooked, I wasn't going to let someone pass me, but they are.
Yes you can!
You can delete your Journal entry! Just go to your journal entry, click on EDIT, at the bottom click delete!
I too wondered what happen to that entry. When I've had a problem with NGC, I just contact them and they fix it.
NGC vs PCGS
Since I like to collect pedigree coins, I have to collect both NGC and PCGS. I perfer NGC and do not understand why PCGS won't allow NGC in their registry!
Few
I have found NGC to be just like a human, they make mistakes! But, if you let them know, thet are very happy to correct the problem. Want I want from NGC is QUALITY, and they have been providing me that. Very few corporations will call you and tell you of a problem. NGC WILL!
Another pedigree collection
As of this date I now have sixteen different dates/mints in Morgan dollars! There are other dates available, but cost is a problem on some. I only have one Peace Dollar at this time! This is a long term collection.
